Hi!

 

I have a HP Spectre x360 2-in1 laptop 14 that where its camera (HP True Vision 5MP) refuses to work as an inlog alternative (Windows Hello). It does work with Zoom and Teams but not for the login utility. It worked previously and the camera is equipped with IR. I have updated the drive in the device manager and restarted without success. Does anyone know what the problem may be and (more importantly) how to fix it?

No, HP True Vision 5MP won't work with Windows Hello. You need an IR or 3D camera for your machine.

Are you kidding me!? This is the internal camera of the laptop, which obviously worked for Windows Hello during its first 14 months of operation, i.e.,  2 months beyond the end of the guarantee period..
