@Kritika_23, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating camera issue, especially with the error code 0xA00F4292. Since Windows support couldn't resolve it and mentioned no drivers are available, let's walk through the troubleshooting steps that might help you get it working again.
Check Camera in Device Manager:
Right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager.
Look for Imaging Devices and find your camera listed there (it might be called something like "HP Camera" or similar).
If there’s a yellow exclamation mark, right-click the camera and choose Update Driver or Uninstall Device.
If you choose Uninstall, restart your laptop and see if Windows automatically reinstalls the camera drivers.
Run HP Hardware Diagnostics:
HP laptops have built-in diagnostics that can check for hardware issues.
Restart your laptop and press Esc repeatedly during startup.
Select F2 for HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
Run the Camera Test to see if it identifies any issues with your camera hardware.
Install the Latest HP Camera Driver:
Go to HP Support.
Search for your laptop model (HP Pavilion 15-eg2002TU).
Navigate to Drivers & Downloads.
Download the Camera Driver (if available for your specific system).
Install the driver and restart your laptop.
Check for Windows Updates:
Ensure that your operating system is fully updated, as camera issues can sometimes be fixed in updates.
Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
Click Check for updates.
Install any pending updates and restart your laptop.
Enable Camera in Privacy Settings:
Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera.
Make sure Allow apps to access your camera is turned on.
Scroll down and ensure that specific apps (like Skype, Zoom, etc.) have permission to use the camera.
Check the Camera Settings in the Camera App:
Open the Camera app (type “Camera” in the Windows search bar).
If you get the error again, click the settings gear icon in the top-right corner.
Ensure the correct camera is selected (if you have multiple cameras).
Use the HP Support Assistant:
HP has a built-in utility called HP Support Assistant that can automatically detect and resolve issues.
Download and install HP Support Assistant from the HP website if it's not already installed.
Run a Check for Issues and follow any instructions it gives.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
