My camera stopped working.  When I go to Device Manager, the HP IR Camera and HP True Vision 5MP Camera is grayed out.  Only the USB Camera is not grayed out.  I have tried Scan for Hardware Changes, Update Driver, and even Uninstalling the Device.  Nothing is working.  Earlier today, the camera started working, but it was intermittently showing my face, and then disappearing every few seconds.  Then, the camera completely stopped working again.  I have read ways to troubleshoot and have exhausted all of my ability to fix this issue.......such as updating the BIOS, updating to Windows 11 Version 25H2, checking the camera privacy settings, and even the simple "is your camera off button selected on your keyboard".  My camera off button is not pressed (oh I wish that it could have been that simple).  Computers are supposed to make our lives easier, but they give us headaches.  Ugh.  Can anyone help?

Did you try rolling back the camera driver?

Alternately, select the "update  button"

But select the option to browse and then the "let me pick"

Do not let Microsoft provide the list.  Select the option to show all camera drivers.   Pick a driver that had a date near to the date your laptop was manufactured.

Let me know what happens.

The Roll Back Driver button is grayed out.  I then clicked on the Update Driver Button, and chose the "Let me pick" option as you suggested.  I don't see any dates.  I only see 1 option, which says "USB Video Device".
