Hello. My camera privacy screen is stuck covering the camera. Ive done the restarting, I've done the force shut down. The privacy covering is behind the glass of the screen, so i cant manually open it. There's just a button on my keyboard for opening it that isn't working. The light on the button turns on and off and the prompt on my screen appears saying the camera is toggled on or off. The privacy shutter doesnt move. Can I fix it

Hi @Qi8888888

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

Based on the description provided, this appears to be a hardware-related issue with the integrated camera privacy shutter mechanism. Since the camera privacy key is responding and the on-screen notification is displayed, the software functionality appears to be operating normally. The issue is likely caused by a stuck or failed physical shutter assembly behind the display panel. We recommend contacting your nearest authorized HP Service Center for a hardware inspection and repair, as the camera module or privacy shutter mechanism may require service or replacement. https://support.hp.com/in-en/help/service-center

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
