HP Active Stylus
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I purchased this set of two HP Active Stylus pens used for $5, as I am getting into Graphic Design and I want to get to drawing.  I currently own an Asus Q535UD which does support the Asus Pen, and I thought that it would work with other types of pens. The pen set I got is very lightly used, and the buttons work to pull things up on the computer, more specifically the big back button.  (It works with windows ink)

My problem is that it doesn't write on the screen at all.  Are HP Pens made so that they cannot be used with other companies laptops?  Thanks for helping!

Are they compatible ? Please ask Asus, does your machine support a stylus in the first place ?

Regards.

Asus states that my laptop does support the Asus Pen, and some reviews state that it works with the Surface Pen and the Asus Pen. I wonder if the HP Active pen uses a specific software?

Please try

     ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp80001-80500/sp80343.exe

Note: it may ONLY work with HP machines.

I will try to install it on my laptop, I am at work for a few more hours and I will do it when I get off.  Thank you so much for your help.

So I was able to install it on my laptop, and it recognizes it also.  I realize now that when I connect it via bluetooth it almost immediately reverts back to "Paired" and only the top button works.  I tried using the program and I can reassign the buttons, but when I press the side buttons nothing happens.

I checked my windows settings as well and it says that my computer has pen and touch support, with 10 touch points.

If this helps, I have two serial numbers: 9CR7462315 and 9CR8193880 .

I just got an Asus laptop and have an HP digital pen that I never used, about a year old, but I no longer have that HP laptop.

Anyway, I wanted to know if you found a way to use the pen and all of its features on your Asus, advise for me.
