Hi, I have  29 folders under C:\ProgramData\HP\HP Support Framework\Softpaq. Each folder contains an executable file like  - sp140347.exe for example. some are with considerable size, taking disk space.

1) Can I safely delete them?

2)  Why are they accumulating?

I posted the question again in order to answer it....

i have deleted these files a few month ago. Everting continues to work fine. I waited to some software update from HP support to see that an update goes smoothly. It did, So I guess that the answer is - yes you can safely delete those. But this is only from my experiment as described above....
