I recently updated from Windows 10 to Windows 11 ( Edition Windows 11 Home Version 24H2 Installed on 3/21/2025
OS build 26100.4202Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.107.0) Now my C:/storagedata fold has 1.2 TB of .dat files (each file is roughly 8 GB) and I'm running out of space. Is it safe to delete them? If so, how do I do it? I installed a file viewer app to be able to see what the data is, but it says it can't open them because the stream is too long.
Also, I'm trying to delete files from the ONEDRIVE folder on my desktop, but keep getting an error code 0x8007016A cloud storage isn't running. How do I delete these files safely without losing them from some other location on my computer?'
I apologize. I'm not at all computer savvy, so please be patient with me. Please give step by step instructions, if possible

Thank you! I have those two folders as well, but I also have multiple other folders that I can't open because the file stream is too long...I don't know how to find out what is in them to know for sure if I need to copy the data somewhere else.. I also have a CCTV camera system that uses VLC video playback.
Then what do I do about the ONEDRIVE folder files? How do I delete them? see error code in the first post...

I try to help you but you must remember that you are asking questions that are not for a HP forum, you must do this in Microsoft, enter via web OneDrive login and then delete the files.
