I'm not nitpicking here -- but there is an important distinction between what MS requires to INSTALL Windows 11 and what actually is required to RUN it. The tools check the current requirements to INSTALL it, as much older PCs (like mine) can easily run Windows 11 preview without any issues.
The requirements are still being finalized, so no one today knows what they will be in four months. Some might get relaxed; others might get tightened.
But that said, increasing your laptop RAM to 8GB will get you a little better performance NOW; so, it's a good upgrade.
