HP 15-da1010ng laptop

Can not download  VERSION: F.48 REV: A PASS: 1  BIOS Firmware for HP 15-da1010ng Laptop using the download links on the HP website:
https://support.hp.com/de-de/drivers/closure/hp-15-da1000-laptop-pc/model/26700551?sku=5ST65EA  or
https://support.hp.com/de-de/drivers/hp-15-da1000-laptop-pc/model/26700551?sku=5ST65EA
both links generate a network error.

I found out what was blocking the download, the Norton Safe Web browser extension.  It was not the Norton Firewall nor any other Norton security feature (which I had previously disabled all of them to attempt the download).  With the Norton Safe Web browser extension disabled the download succeeds.

The link you supplied ( https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp152501-153000/sp152727.exe ) generates the same network errors.

I would conclude that the problem is on your end.

I downloaded the file from the link that Banhien posted with no problem and also downloaded from the link you posted in your reply to him.

The BIOS file exceeds the 5 MB forum file attachment limit, or I would have zipped it up and attached it for you.

If you would like me to zip the file and upload it to my Skydrive folder and share the link to my folder with you, let me know.

I did test to download before to post the link

Updated: @Dan5561  Are you actually on internet ? Please try to right click the link, copy it and use your browser, do not click.

Regards.

Your Norton software is preventing you from downloading the file.

Try downloading the file from the base model 15-da1000 support page.

I actually turned off the Norton Firewall completely in a prior attempt at downloading the BIOS file and it made no difference whatsoever.

I worked in IT/Software Development for over 40 years and at one point managed the development group that developed Internet Network Protocols for our UNIX variant.

I am not yet desperate enough to totally uninstall Norton, but that is probably my next experiment.

As I posted earlier, the problem is definitely on your end.

I only use the built in Microsoft security that comes with Windows and never had a problem accessing the HP support site.

What really surprises me is the direct download link from the HP FTP site didn't work either
