Hello HP Community,

I am trying to enable TPM (Trusted Platform Module) on my HP ProBook 450 G8 Notebook PC, but I'm unable to find any option for it in the BIOS settings.

I have already updated my BIOS to the latest version available for my model, hoping that the option would appear, but unfortunately, it has not. I've thoroughly searched through all the menus and sub-menus in the BIOS, particularly under security, boot options, and advanced settings, but there's no mention of TPM, Intel Platform Trust Technology (PTT), or any similar setting.

Could anyone provide guidance on how to enable TPM on this specific model? Is there a particular setting I might be overlooking, or is there a different procedure required for the HP ProBook 450 G8? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.

Hi:

See if the info at the link below is of help to you:

If your notebook came with W11 from HP, the TPM 2.0 security device should be enabled by default.

If the TPM security device is enabled, there will be a Security devices category in the device manager.

Click to expand that category and the TPM 2.0 security device will be listed there.

Run this command as Administrator in Powershell:

Enable-TpmAutoProvisioning

If that still doesn't work and you can't find a TPM setting in the BIOS, you can watch this video for how to do an inplace upgrade from W10>W11 without a TPM device:

I try this command but it display this information Enable-TpmAutoProvisioning : The device is not ready for use and I also try to Initialize-Tpm it also give me the same info.   CatagoryInfo :NotSpecified

If you want to install W11, I recommend you watch the video I posted because if there is no TPM setting in the BIOS and running that command didn't work, I don't know what other options you have.
