I am unable to install Google Play Store app and then Google Home app so I can use a new Google Chromecast Ultra device to connect my HP laptop to my TV.
I keep getting an error message that says my "device" has not been installed.
and: This Google account is not yet associated with a device. Please access the Play Store app on your device before installing apps.
And:
Error: You haven't accessed the Google Play Store app on your device with this email account
This error can appear when you're trying to install an Android app on:
- your computer
- an Android mobile device that isn't linked to your Google Account
- a non-compatible device
Is my HP Spectre x360 not compatable with Google Play?

Hi,
You can not install Android apps on your PC (or any PC without special software)
To set up your chromecast you need to have Google Chrome installed on your PC which you can get here:
https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/
Next you need to go to the chromecast setup screen using Chrome Browser here and click on
"Or, you can set up your chromecast using this computer"
https://www.google.com/intl/en/chromecast/setup/
Follow the onscreen set up and all should work.
Hope it helps,
David
