HP Active Pen G2 with HP Elite X2 G3

I am not able to program the 3 buttons on my HP Active Pen G2. The software that came with the computer only allows me to change function of the top button and even then those are very limited. In addition I cannot download the HP Pen Setting App from the App store onto my HP Elite X2 G3 for some reason.

I have looked up some videos, like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5R8GoPceCE where the person uses the HP elite X2 and and active pen g2 but my X2 does not have the app and  following the link in the comments I encounter two isuess. The app the the link describes does not look at all like the app in the video and I am unable to download it onto my Elite X2 G3 because "the device is not supported".

Is there a different app I should be downloading? It seems like HP tried to have things available to support this pen with this tablet but has not actually rolled it out yet?

 Thanks.

I have an identical issue.

Can't find the app, worst is that my pen turns off and the only way to get it going is to plug it on charge for 1sec... and then comes to life. The battery is always charged...
