I would like to repurpose my PCIe x16 slot for another purpose other than a wifi card (My current card is Realtek rtl8822ce 802.11ac, not sure if that's important). When I enter my BIOS (AMI F.07) to try and disable the integrated NIC so i can use the PCIe slot for something else, I cannot find the option. How can I do this with my version of BIOS?

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

  1. Press F10 at the power-on bios screen
  2. Navigate to the Security menu
  3. Choose Device Security
  4. Verify that "Wireless Network Button" is set to disable. If set to disable, change this to enable and press F10 to confirm settings.
  5. Exit the bios from the File menu, Choose Save Changes and Exit.

And, also you should be able to do this by going to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Device Manager, then click on the Network line, then Action, to disable or remove.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
