HP Pavilion Aero 13.3 inch Laptop PC 13-be0000 (3B3W5AV)

I have bought this laptop yesterday (HP Pavilion Aero 13, 16gb RAM, Ryzen 7 5800U, 1 TB SDD configuration). Was bought from local dealer as repackaged product. Came with Windows 11 installed, after boot up asked me if I want to keep current files and perform a reset. I chose the reset option, even so Windows 11 was sluggish, eating up 48% of available ram just siting idle, and the fan was always on at max speed also when idle. So I downloaded Microsoft media creation tool and performed a fresh installation of Windows 10 Home. RAM usage now at 20% and fan not even turning on when at idle. But I can't install AMD adrenalin, Windows 10 installed an AMD driver and when I try to download and install the driver from AMD home page it gives me an error : AMD Software Failed to Launch Because Windows Update Has Replaced the AMD Graphics Driver. Tried the fix from this link on AMD website : https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/pa-300. Didn't help at all. Then I tried to manually download and install the AMD driver from my product support page on HP website, installed ok but without the AMD Adrenalin program. Pls help ! With this laptop having only an integrated graphics card and the display being 2500x1600, I need the AMD Adrenalin resolution scale options to play any games at decent frame rates.

Didn`t work but got me thinking. So I went in services.msg and disabled Windows Update. That did the trick.

Hi:

See if this works...

Uninstall the driver that Windows update installed, restart the PC and run the Microsoft Hide Windows Update utility that I zipped up and attached below.

The utility should find the AMD driver that Windows update is trying to install before it installs.

Check the box to hide the update.

The utility will run and report the problem is 'Fixed.'

Then see if you can install the driver from the AMD website.
