Hi

Support Assistant tells me that I have an update available  -  Softpaq SP76548, version: 21.20.16.4471

But when I am running the install, it tells me that I already have a newer version of the driver installed on my computer.

Is there anyone who can come with a solution, or can I simply ignore this Softpaq SP76548 ?

I have installed Support Assistant version  8.5.37.19

@Harnigel

Welcome to the HP Forums,
I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.

As I understand you are unable to install a softpaq,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

Did you know that HP Support Assistant obtains the data of an entire series and not your specific model?

(hence if an update doesn't install it possible, that it isn't for your model).

Meanwhile, here's all you need to know about HP support assistant and it's usage:

  • Opening HP Support Assistant
  • Changing HP Support Assistant settings
  • Adding a device to HP Support Assistant
  • Checking for HP updates
  • Checking for HP messages
  • Specifications category
  • Storage category
  • Warranty and services category
  • Accessories category
  • Internet and security category
  • Diagnostics and tools category

Keep me posted,

If I have helped you resolve the issue, feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below,

Followed by clicking on "Accept as solution" from the drop-down menu on the upper right corner,

Thank you for posting in the HP Support Forum.  Have a great day!

Hi Riddle_Decipher

Thanks a lot for your response !

I've been checking my Device Manager and I found out that I  have version 21.20.16.4627 installed on my notebook.

It may be the newer version, and I suppose that I simply can ignore the other version.

As you suggested, the version 21.20.16.4471 may not be for my model.

Do you agree ?

Regards

Harnigel
