Envy Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have the HP Envy Notebook laptop I just bought it from a pawn shop. Employee said that the computer had been wiped and I could enter my own information to add my account. When I try to sign into my account under settings it asks for my email then my password once I hit enter it asks me to reenter my password. I reenter my password and then it says that my password is incorrect. I have changed it several times on my current computer as well as on another computer and it allows me access on the website but not on the laptop itself. How can I get my information onto the laptop?

The employee clearly does not know what "wiped" actually means because if that was the case, the drive would be BLANK.  And clearly, it is NOT because you are being asked for a password to log in -- which means the previous owner uses an MSN login and unless you know that, you can not login and can not change it.

Your best bet at this point, since we here are not allowed to assist in bypassing passwords, is to return this to the pawnshop and tell them they lied to you about it -- and demand a full refund.

The computer was wiped, the problem is when I try to sign in as a new user and it asks me for my password it asks twice the second time it says it's incorrect.

The term WIPED means the drive would have been BLANK -- and when you then booted the PC, you would have been presented with a BLANK screen, not a Windows login.

IF you are seeing a login, that means either (1) the previous owner's Windows was still there, or (2) you installed Windows yourself, chose the option to use an MSN login, created and account and password, and now, can't remember the password.
