HP laptop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When running scan, Mcafee wants me to downlaod Shockwave player; but when I try, and get to Adobe sight, they tell me I must load Internet Explorer.  Currently browser used is Microsoft Edge.  In windows accesories Internet explorer is there.  AQuestion how can I use it this one time to update the shockwave player for this laptop and still continue to use Microsoft Edge as my browser>

That all sounds very odd. I can't understand why McAfee wants you to install shockwave player. You can run Internet Explorer just don't change any default settings. Edge will continue to be your default browser. However, it sounds to me like you have some malware on your computer and you should run ADW Cleaner from Malwarebytes before you install anything else:

Thank you for reply.  Did downloads no malware.  Did discover that Malwarebytes does not support Microsft Edge.  Hmm.  I did find Internet Explorer in accessories can I downlaod from there?  Looks like it came with computer at time of purchase,

I don't trust anything that redirects you to Internet Explorer. They want you to use that because it is less secure. You can use IE, its there, but I would install Chrome personally to do my downloading.
