Hi,
Last week, my sisters computer started continuously displaying the message "Undoing Changes on your Computer" before it would restart and repeat the cycle again. It continued to do this for a few days before I called to take a look.
I could access the advanced options in the troubleshooting menu by pressing F11 during startup, but after trying them all with no luck we decided to use the system recovery option (without backup) under the HP Recovery Manager menu.
As expected, this resolved the original issue but MS Office now requires an activation key which we do not have. MS Office had not been purchased after the original setup so I am assuming it was pre-installed.
Is there anyway to obtain this activation key without having to purchase MS Office?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Sarah

Sorry, but we have no access to that information so there is nothing we can provide you from here.
First off, the version of Office that comes preloaded on HP PCs is a trial version, and since that expires, it does NOT activate.
IF you are trying activate that version, you will not succeed.
Second, if you believe that you purchased Office included with your HP PC, then you will have to contact HP Customer Support directly because we here can not assist you in that activation.
If you live in the US or Canada, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1
If you live elsewhere, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html
NOTE: After you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to some one -- it can take a while!
