Yesterday I got my brand new HP Spectre x360-13t and installation went smoothly except for emails. Mail did add my email accounts but didn't send anything out. I erased all and installed Outlook, but Outlook cannot add as the outgoing SMTP server (port 587) does not reply.
This is what I have done so far:
Sent email from another computer: no issues, computer can send via SMTP.
Tried another computer: computer can send. .
Checked firewall of router, explicitly added computer's IPv4 to port 587: Spectre cannot send
Uninstalled McAfee: still, Spectre cannot send
Set Up details are correct, I know my stuff. But this leaves me stumped. Why is this particular computer NOT sending out emails, meanwhile all the other computer on the same wireless network can just fine???
thanks!

Port setting is reliant on the mail client.
If 587 will not work in spite of what "should be the case" for using TLS, try smtp port 465.
Will that work? Unknown. Takes only a couple of minutes to try it.
General Examples
Outlook (installed client Microsoft Office Home and Business 2019)
Outlook > File > Account Settings > Account Settings > Server Settings
Imap Account Settings > Outgoing mail
Outlook_Mail_SMTP_Settings_1
Older Officejet Pro 8740 - EWS > Scan to Email
EWS_8740_Scan-to-Email_Setup_6

port 465 doesn't do it either. I wasted two days on this. I have talked to HP support twice, to Microsoft Support. None know what is going on.
Status:
Mail has now 1 charter account that sends and receives. two other charter accounts do not send. The Apple icloud account receives but does not send.
Outlook does not install ANY of it.
Thanks for trying to help.
Edit: managed to get one email working with port 465!!!
And another one! woohooo! You're my hero!
