Spectre x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I cannot type and move the mouse via trackpad at the same time. There are no issues when I use an external mouse via USB. I was able to disable SmartSense in the "Synaptics Touchpad" app; this helped a little, but the pointer still stops moving sometimes when I use the keypad.

I have tried changing the following:

  • change PalmDetectConfig to 0 in Registry Editor --> Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTP\TouchPad
  • change touchpad sensitivity to low in Windows settings
  • change "Clickpad Settings" in "Synaptics Touchpad" app, change smartSense to off and pointer sensitivity to the lowest amount

If I try to update the drivers automatically, it says I already have the most up-to-date drivers. I cannot find any new drivers on the Synaptics website.

Using a Spectre x360 with Windows 10 64-bit.

I don't think this is related but also the "Synaptics Touchpad" app GUI flashes when I open the settings. Makes it really hard to use, but I was able to take a screenshot when most of the GUI was showing up.
