Not a hardware or software issue. Service issue but this HP website is horrible is actually contacting anyone.
I got the HP care pack with risk free rebate for my Envy convertible. I filled the form for the carepack rebate (after it expired last month) and sent it to focus.crc@hp.com as stated in the form, 2 weeks ago. I have not heard back from anyone. I tried using the social media support on facebook. After getting all info over a chat where the response time is several minutes to hours, they just shrugged - "can't help you with care pack. You have to contact the care pack people and sent me a link to the care pack site" - which is totally useless in actually reaching anyone.
Question: Anyone successfully get a rebate from HP for their unused carepack or is this a total scam? Is there a way to reach a useful human at HP about this?
If I can't get response from HP, I am going to be filing complaints with BBB and CFPB soon.

Same problem for me. I did not use my Carepack for the 3 years.
They read the email with the rebate form attached right after I initially sent it in.
10 weeks later... nothing from them at all.
I contacted support 3 different times, all 3 cust. svc. reps said that department has NO phone number and can only be contacted via the same email address.
I sent emails asking for status after 8 weeks, 9 weeks, and recently 10 weeks... they have NOT even opened any of the three emails.
This is obviously a 100% scam. They obviously have NO intention of issuing any refund.
I guess it's class action lawsuit time... the lawyers will make millions - we'll be lucky if we get any refund close to the cost of the carepack refund we should be getting.

Yes, this needs to be a class action lawsuit. If you want to start one, happy to join as plaintiff.
Don't know whether I will qualify anymore though. I filed a complaint with the BBB with documentation of all my contacts with HP and also included some threads from here - all complaining about the same thing - that this is a scam.
Two weeks later the check was suddenly in the mail - still never got any communication from HP, just from BBB.
