Is there some way to change F keys to not act as Fn keys by default without entering the bios? I.e. I'd like all F keys to perform their default "F actions" when being pressed without simultaneously holding the Fn key.

 

Why? I changed this behavior in the bios after initially setting up my new laptop but a recent error caused a bios reset which is now being locked by a administrator password which I don't know and which I did not set. See this post for more details on this.

 

I'd really appreciate some help with this. I'm doing a lot of programming on this laptop and not having (fast/direct) access to the F keys is a real pain.

 

I'm also open for suggestions using third party software or solutions including AHK scripts or anything the like.
