go to control panel and choose english india to make keyboard work normally

language settings hope this helps

Thank you.  I tried to figure this out for quite awhile - before i got to the support. 

My keyboard selection was English Multilingual, so i had to change it to English US.

Use the key combination of "Windows key" + "Spacebar" to toggle between English (UK) and English (USA).

 

You can also click the bottom right hand corner where it displays "ENG" and change the setting there.
