Charger won't fit in jack

I just bought a new hp laptop in July and have used it 3 times. The charger won't fit in the jack anymore. It did earlier today and not anymore. Extremely frustrated as we had to throw our last hp laptop out because of charging issues

- Have you tried checking with a different adapter? (if you have a similar one)

- Flash a light to the port and check if there is anything blocking the way.

- Check if there is any damage to the charging pin which plugs into the laptop port.
