HP PROBOOK 640 G1

Hey

I bought a USAMS power bank that has a Type C output of 20V=3.25A (65WMax)

[If you need more details about him then this is the link I bought from him on AliExpress https://he.aliexpress.com/item/1005004767205006.html?spm=a2g0o.order_detail.order_detail_item.4.6649...]

I wanted to know if I can charge my laptop from it with a DC to Type C adapter, with a Type C cable on both sides with PD protocol and 100W power.

The recommended HP charger is either 18.5V 3.5A or 19.5V 3.25A.

Can someone help me?

[Another general question, if there is a Type C cable on both sides, what causes the power bank to recognize that it needs to charge the computer and not for the computer to charge the power bank?]

No, that is not going to work. You can use the following chargers

  • 90-W HP Smart adapter (PFC, 3-wire, 4.5-mm) for use only on computer models equipped with an Intel processor part # 693712-001
  • 90-W HP Smart adapter (PFC, EM, 3-wire, 4.5-mm) for use only on computer models equipped with an Intel processor part #  693713-001
  • 65-W HP Smart adapter (non-PFC, 3-wire, 4.5-mm, locked) for use only on computer models equipped with a 15.6-in. display assembly and an Intel processor part # 835498-001
  • 65-W HP Smart adapter (PFC, 3-wire, 4.5-mm) for use on all computer models part #  693710-001
  • 65-W HP Smart adapter (PFC, 3-wire, 4.5-mm) for use on all computer models part #  693711-001

Regards.

Hello

First of all my computer is 7.4 x 5.0 millimeters.

Secondly the amp is compatible. The difference in volts is only half, is it that significant?
