Chromebook keyboard shortcuts won’t let me type regularly with the keyboard

The Chromebook keyboard shortcuts are stuck kind of like sticky keys and it will not let me use the keyboard. the only way I can type is by using the on screen keyboard. how do I shut off the shortcuts so I can use the keyboard regularly? my Chromebook is brand new I just opened it and turned it on
