I have applications that use combination function keys. Example pressing shift-F3 activates a feature. Can this be done with the HP keyboard which requires the fn key to be used to acces the function keys. I've tried fn-shift-F3 butch that doesn't work. Any alternatives?

Hi @Slick331,
Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂
I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.
As I understand, you wish to customise keys on your keyboard
No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
This is the list of shortcut keys by HP on Windows OS: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c02951398
Note: You cannot add or customize keys
Hope this helps!
Cheers 🙂

Hi @Slick331,
I am the The_Fossette. It looks like you were interacting with @Flower_Bud, but he is out of the office today so I'll take over from here.
I understand that you want to know who to use the Shift+F10 key on your computer.
You need to press Shift+F10+FN key for mouse to right-click an item in Windows
Hope that answers your question.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Thanks for the reply, but my laptop doesn't seem to work that way. I can press just shift-F10 and get the mouse right click event in the Windows main form. Don't need to use the fn key. However, I can't get my application's Shift-F10 event to work just Windows event. Both Shift-F9 and Shift-F10 seem to default to Windows events. When I press Shift-F10 in my application nothing happens, I assume because the application has no event tied to the right mouse click.
Thanks again.

Hi @Slick331,
Great to have you back.
If it is working by pressing shift+F10 I recommend you use it that way.
If any other questions arise, please feel free to write back to me.
