Ok, so I have a completely modified Compaq Presario CQ57-339WM and was wondering if anyone has tried to use an external GPU dock with this model before?
I got mine to kinda work only with one much older ATi card, but am having troubles with getting it to work with anything more modern.
It loads and shows the graphics card, but it never seems to want to let me actually select it (hence the "kinda work") even with the full drivers installed.
Tried a GTX 660 but had no luck.
I have heard of people having luck with GTX 960's - 970's, but I wanted to know if anyone here has tried it and can offer their experiences.
If this is in the wrong area, well I guess just move it. lol
Not many options for boards and didn't see a general board so I just posted. 🙂

Machine does not have ports which are fast enough for a modern video card and it BIOS may not accept new cards at all.
Hope this makes sense
Regards.
