So my Hp Pavillion computer has been showing me these issues, where some things turn black, things around comments are black, when I see a photo online it shows only half of it but then it goes white.Screenshot 2025-04-28 131240.pngScreenshot 2025-04-28 131352.pngScreenshot 2025-04-28 131635.png

Hi @Rainmartix16,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thanks for sharing the screenshot — from what you described and what I can see (with UI elements and images partially black or blank), it sounds like your HP Pavilion is experiencing graphics rendering issues, likely related to: Outdated or Corrupted Graphics Driver, Hardware Acceleration Conflicts in your browser or apps, Faulty GPU (hardware), especially if it’s happening across different apps, Display Settings or High Contrast Mode glitches.

1. Update Your Graphics Driver

  • Right-click Start > Device Manager
  • Expand Display adapters
  • Right-click your GPU > Update driver
  • Select Search automatically for drivers
  • Or go to the HP Support site or your GPU maker's site (Intel, AMD, or NVIDIA)

2. Disable Hardware Acceleration in Your Browser

If the issue happens mainly in a browser:

  • Chrome/Edge:
Go to Settings > System → Turn off “Use hardware acceleration when available”
    Restart the browser.

3. Check for Windows Updates

  • Go to Settings > Windows Update
  • Install all available updates, especially graphics and firmware-related

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
