Hello All, and Merry Christmas;
I need to ask the community for assistance in attaching my HP Envy M9X67AV to my new docking station
I purchased a Kensington model No. K38249NA SD4800P
Listed as
USB-C
10Gbps Scalable Video Docking Station
w/ 135W adapter - DP/DP/HDMI
for Windows.
It was the only triple monitor support docking station I saw.
I have plugged the USBC into a USB A 3.0 to USB C adapter and pluged it into my laptop.
It kind of work so far.
I have Mouse, Keyboard and Internet; however I do not have video support.
Will this laptop support a docking station ( port replicator)?
Thank you in advance for your assistance

Your machine is a CTO machine therefore no available specs but it should have following ports
- HDMI version 1.4 supporting 1920 ×1200 @ 60 Hz
- Hot Plug/unplug and auto detect for correct output to wide-aspect vs. standard aspect video
- AC Smart Pin adapter plug
- Headphone/microphone combo jack
- RJ-45 (Ethernet)
- USB 3.0 ports (two on left side, two on right side)
To answer your question: yes, it supports port replicators using USB 3.0 port BUT your machine does not have USB-C port therefore the USB-C to USB-A could be the culprit.for no video.
I tested many machines (HP, Dell, Aus and Lenovo) using very simple USB 3.0 type A (native, no adapter) port replicators from Lenovo and I always get 3 FHD monitors including laptop screen.
Regards.
