The HP support Web site is terrible if you actually want to contact support like send an email.
I believe there is an online form and I have seen it once but never found it again. Does anyone know the steps to get to the form?

Welcome to the HP English Community --
True - HP Support does not support online case submission using email.

Reminders – READ
Online Case Submission to HP Support is available to those whose devices registered and are still in Warranty.
Some (Most) regions display phone / chat contact information only after the case is submitted online.
Not every issue is covered under the standard Hardware Warranty. Purchased Care Pack Warranties differ by contract.
HP is not a "general" repair facility: Requests for out-of-warranty repairs are usually not accepted.
If the problem is hardware, if your device is in Warranty, if your device is Registered, and you cannot submit your case to Support, let us know and we will forward a request.
Important
Never post private information in the HP Community!
Thieves are waiting - do not just hand out your privacy to their keeping.
HP Support does not free-post phone numbers for HP Support on the Internet.
Your computer is not full of bugs and you do not need to pay a fee for driver support.
Pay attention to where you are going.
Do not wander around on the Internet looking for help –
When looking for help, start only at legitimate web sites for your product
For example,
HP products, start here in the HP Community or at the HP Website
Microsoft / Windows - start at Microsoft Web Site
Do not be a victim.
Stay vigilant.

Out of Warranty? What to do...
For those of us who are "Out of Warranty", or asking for help with an item not covered by the Warranty, submitting a case to HP Support is not an option.
Open your device HP Product Home > Select Category Troubleshooting to find help for common issues.
HP Support does not generally provide free service for out-of-warranty devices.
Our HP Community is not HP Support; we do offer online help free of charge.
Reminder – New Post – Post New Question
When you submit your question to the Community,
Increase your chances of receiving an answer ---
Provide as much information as possible about the product.
For example,
- Provide the exact model of the device and the Operating System / version
- Do NOT include the serial number -- What? We cannot make use of the information and you should never post private information in a public forum.
- As best you can, describe the issue for which you are seeking our help.
- Tell us what you have tried to fix the problem.

Hi,
Thanks for the response but it was a little confusing.
Let me be specific. Is there a way on the HP support site to send an email or fill in an online form?
I have a HP17 Laptop I bought last November and its been rebooting spontaneously ever since. Sometimes several times a day sometime one in 2 weeks.
The first time I returned it to get fixed they re-installed the OS. It did not fix the issue
The second time I returned it a few days ago they replaced the motherboard. They assumed that would fix the problem because they closed the case. However it rebooted twice the same day I got it back.
I now need to open a new case. I was trying to do it over the weekend but it looks like I will have to wait until Monday and use the phone

We are both confused, I guess.
There is no method to submit a case to HP Support outside of the methodology that you have used.
The limitations are meant to protect both HP and the customer.
It is true that sometimes the easy way would be nicer.
I will forward a notice of your concerns to our Moderator team.
Request for Review – Please Read
A request has been submitted to our HP Community moderators for review and evaluation of your concern.
Worth Noting
- Our HP Community is a peer-to-peer user group.
- We are not HP Technical Support -- We are not associated with HP Sales, Service, or Warranty.
- Our request for assistance on your behalf does not guarantee HP will respond nor does our request influence the outcome.
- The time frame (how long it takes) to receive a response from HP is not controlled by the Community.
Important
- HP does not free-post HP Support numbers on the Internet. Not. Not in secret, not in chat, not in pop-ups, and not so a nice technician can call you back, sneak into your computer, and then tell you your computer is full of bugs.
- Be wary of any posted messages in the Community containing phone or email links – these are likely scammers who mean you harm.
- Please do not post any personal information in the Community. We are a public resource.
