Correct drivers for universal serial bus (usb) controller for HP 15-af153sa

Hello all,

Can anyone please provide me with the correct drivers for the universal serial bus (usb) controller for HP 15-af153sa? I have several USB ports that I currently cannot use due no drivers after an OS reinstallation. 

With a bit of research, I can only seem to find USB3 drivers, but the ports aren't USB3 so isn't any use to me.

HP also doesn't seem to list drivers for this device online.

I would imagine those would be part of the chipset drivers but you have probably tried that? (Sorry don't have an AMD machine myself so can't be precise now)

When you go to A6-6310 64bit and select Optional Downloads, you should see what's available from AMD. Should not hurt trying to install the USB 3.0 drivers either, who knows what all is included in the package.

PS. Hope you are not caught up in the Windows 10 1709 Creators Update conondrum like many others have been:

Edit: The obvious place would of course be to let the computer search the Windows Update for drivers, but I'm sure you already did that.

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, the HP website doesn't seem to list any drivers what-so-ever for this device.

I had already tried the chipset driver and the USB 3.0 drivers gave an error message every time installation was attempted.

Fortunately, I found a solution to the problem. I was able to source AMD USB Host Controller drivers from the Lenevo website for one of their products, which has solved the problem!
