I tried to make a USB recovery stick (from sp96570) to refresh the BIOS but it won't boot (I've enabled USB boot, etc) and sp96570 doesn't offer to update (greyed out).
Any suggestions as to how to replace the BIOS (even going back to F28) gratefully received.

Found I was trying to update BIOS the wrong way. Held down Windows and B keys to bring up BIOS update screen and got a different error:
This laptop originally came with Windows 10 but I wiped it and installed Linux then added Windows 10. I repartitioned the disk 50-50.
Have I lost the BIOS update (was it on a recovery partition)?
