I got a box saying i need to review my privacy settings before installing the Creator's update. I reviewed them, accepted it and then this box came. I am clicking OK but its not doing anything after that. The box stays as it is. I had to close it using task manager.

@Swagoto

Thank you for joining HP Forums.

I'll be glad to help you 🙂

As I understand the creator's update privacy settings are not turning off,

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

Did you attempt to go back and change the privacy settings?

Have you attempted to restart the computer and check if that works?

While you respond to that, The first thing you’ll see when the Windows 10 Creators Update is available to you is a notification that asks you to review your privacy settings. Once the notification appears, select Review settings and choose to review when the notice pops up, or you can postpone your review a few times by selecting Remind me later.

If you postponed, the notification will reappear later. Or, when you’re ready, select action center, and then select Review settings under Update and Privacy Settings. Note that you can't delay this review indefinitely, and after postponing it a few times, you won't have the option to select Remind me later. You'll need to review your privacy settings to continue using your PC.

Choosing privacy settings for your device

On the Choose privacy settings for your device screen, you'll control certain types of info that can be shared with Microsoft. Select the toggle for each category to adjust your settings and then select Accept.

Change your mind? After you’ve updated your device, adjust these settings at any time by going to Start  > Settings  > Privacy.

Notes

  • The privacy settings you select won’t go into effect until you’ve installed the Windows 10 Creators Update.
  • Only an administrator can choose settings, and those choices will apply to all accounts on your device.

Choose your privacy settings.

Let me know how that pans out

I hope you have a good day ahead,

And Feel free to ask any other queries as  well,

Hey Guys,

After the version 1803 update, the choose privacy settings window does not go. I did choose accept but it keeps coming up with 'something went wrong anf try again' error. My computer has become inoperatable. Will highly appreciate your help.
