I've had this problem for about a month now. Even after repeated attempts, Windows reports "Some update files are missing or have problems. We'll try to download the update again later. Error code: (0x8007000d)”. I even tried to download this update through the HP website, but it reported the same error. Currently the computer reports two such errors with cumulative updates. I am including a photo of both updates that report the same error.

Thank you for your help

Hi:

I have two suggestions you can try:

1. See if you can install the standalone update via the Microsoft update catalog.

July 26, 2022—KB5015878 (OS Builds 19042.1865, 19043.1865, and 19044.1865) Preview (microsoft.com)

2.  If you still can't get it to install that way, run the Hide Windows Update utility that I zipped up and attached below.

Run the update.  A window will open and search for the updates that won't install.

Check the boxes to hide the updates.

The program will run again and report the problem is fixed.

Then restart the PC.

Now this won't fix the problem, but it will prevent those updates from trying to install and jamming up the Windows Update utility, and hopefully when Microsoft releases a cumulative update next month, it will work.

First of all thank you very much for your reply. I tried downloading the update via the Microsoft update catalog but unfortunately it reported the same error. So I used the Hide Windows Update utility, but it only hide one of the updates. So I want to ask you if there is some other option how to fix it?
Thank you very much

You're very welcome.

Sorry, that neither suggestion worked for you.

I am surprised the Hide Windows update utility didn't find and hide both updates.

The only other suggestions I can offer are:

1. Run the Windows update troubleshooting app and see if that fixes the problem.

Windows Update Troubleshooter (microsoft.com)

2.  If not, I recommend you post the problem on the Microsoft Windows forum where there are windows experts that may have an answer for you.
