DST.exe is blocked by Windows defender. Is it a safe file or how can I get rid of it?

Windows defender tells me that a DST.exe file located in the Users\Lillian\AppData\Local\Temp\HPDIAGS\53a826d5-9440-4b66-8cab-bf8a44956a7e has been blocked.  I've tried to delete the DST.exe file, but it just comes back seconds later.  I've run a virus scan and it can't find any virus on my computer. 

I've tried to google DST.exe to find out what it is, but I haven't found out if it's a program I should allow access to my files or not.

Is this file something I want to run on my computer or should I get rid of it.  If I should get rid of the file how can I get rid of it?

How did you get on with this issue as I have just started getting the same prompt? 

My file is located in AppData\Local\Temp\HPDIAGS\64819556-07a0-42c4-a925-bba17af6db61

This seems to suggest it is an HP diagnostic tool of some kind. Also the properties of the file indicate that it is digitally signed by HP Inc.

In the same folder is are 2 other files; a CSV (spreadsheet file) and a text file. Both files indicate that it has something to do with the Laptops NVMe hard drive - on my PC it lists the modal number as KXG50ZNV1T02 TOSHIBA for the hard drive.

So my guess is that the DST exe file is some HP monitoring tool for the laptops hard drive and probably perfectly safe. 

It might be helpful if HP could confirm that though.

I'm still getting the pop up message several times a day that Windows has blocked the file.  My file is located at the same place as your file. 
I don't understnad why HP has this file in the Temp folder if it is a genuine file from HP.
