The DVD player is not working. It appears on the desktop, it's in the device manager (HL DLDS DVDROM DUDIN) when I click on it, it tells me to insert a DVD into the drive, I've tried several with always the same message. Can you help me, please? Thanks in advance.
I want to write on the DVD. What I see under File Explorer, it's : HP HLDS DVDROM DUD1N.
Thanks again!

What is the type of your DVD ? For movie DVD's it won't open automatically, you need open from a software and it would open movie DVD automatically next time when you click default software.
Can you see DVD under File Explorer ? Please right click and select Open with. This will give you a list to select.
Regards.
