I've been using an HP Specter x360 13-ae047ng for a couple of years.
Since recently I am encuntering the following problem:
For some reason the "Fn Lock" got activated. I didn't knowingly activate it myself. Is there any shortcut that might enable and disable this Fn-Lock? (I wonder how it was activated...)
On the HP website I found instructions on how to disable the Fn-Lock via the BIOS. ("Action Keys"...)
However, when attempting to enter the BIOS I am prompted for a Admin password. But I can't remember ever having given one. Is there a default password here? (The motherboard was changed within the warranty period, but I don't know if this is relevant.) When I enter the wrong password 3 times, the message appears:
-----
Recovery options
System SN: [...]
1. Insert HP SpareKey USB Recovery Key

Unfortunately I don't have this USB recovery key. I can do this skip and just reboot... Is there a maximum number of failed attempts before my computer locks up completely?
