Microsoft Windows 11

Every time my HP notebook updates, it automatically changes my default browser to Yahoo.  It does this without asking my permission.  I know how to change it back to the search engine I want, but it is annoying to have to keep redoing it after every update. And second, it's not right that it's doing this without my permission. Any help on how to prevent this is appreciated.

No, Yahoo is not a web browser. Which web browser to you use ? You have to change its DEFAULT PAGE (or HOMEPAGE). All web browsers have option to open with a valid page.

For example, I use Firefox and this forum is my default page or homepage:

Thank you for responding. Sorry, I used the wrong term. I meant search engine, not browser. I don't want Yahoo to be my search engine; I use Google. I change it to Google every time, but when it updates it reverts back to Yahoo. If you have a fix for this I would appreciate it.
