Can someone provide help with deleting a duplicate HP account?  I have two accounts, with different email addresses.  each has a printer associated with it.  I no longer have access to one of the email addresses.  Ideally, I'd like to merge the two accounts under the active email address, but I understand merging accounts it not possible.  So, Id like to delete the one account, and then add the printer and services associated with that account onto the other.  Anyone able to help with this?

Hi @Ken_help,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I'd be happy to help, but I'd first like to clarify which HP account service you're referring to.

Is the printer enrolled in:

  • HP Instant Ink, or
  • HP All-In Plan?

If you're referring to HP Instant Ink, it's possible to have multiple printers associated with a single HP account. Before making any changes, I'd recommend determining which account you would like to keep as your primary account.

To add another eligible printer to an existing HP Instant Ink account:

  1. Sign in to your HP account.
  2. Select Printers from the menu.
  3. Choose Add Printer.
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to add the additional printer to the account. Enrolling in HP Instant Ink | HP® Support

Regarding the account associated with the email address you can no longer access, account merging is generally not supported. Depending on the services attached to that account, you may need to:

  • Cancel the Instant Ink or subscription service associated with the old account.
  • Remove the printer from the old account.
  • Then add or enroll the printer under the account you wish to keep.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
