Disable touchpad for HP Notebook - 17-bs018ca

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am only able to find a way to make the touchpad less sensitive but cannot disable it- does anyone know how to?

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:  

  • In the Search box, type Touchpad.
  • Touch or click Mouse & touchpad settings (System settings).
  • Look for a Touchpad On/Off toggle. When there is a Touchpad On/Off toggle option: Touch or click the Touchpad On/Off toggle to turn the touchpad on or off. When there is not a Touchpad On/Off toggle.
