HP Recommended

I have the 1 year warranty for a laptop. I told them I had lost it. I want to call back and tell them it’s actually broken. If they keep notes it’s probably a no go. If they don’t, or if some receptionists don’t read them, then I’ll do it. Do you guys know if they keep notes like that?

Of course, there is a file with details about every call with a serial number reference, on a server for every owner who calls in to start a warranty case.
