I have heard that some laptops omit the choice of a 2560x1440 display resolution from the list of available resolutions in Windows 10, as it is not as popular as other resolutions. I am contemplating using a 27" 2560x1440 external display with a Spectre x360 13" laptop that I am contenplating buying. Can anyone tell me if it will support selection of this resolution?

Hello @zeozod,
There shouldn't be an issue in terms of your laptop supporting a 2560*1440 display.
You just need to ensure you purchase a proper adapter. Do you have any type of monitor in mind? You need to know what type of monitor input you're going to deal with.
The most common type of input can be considered HDMI and HP does recommend this USB-C to HDMI 2.0 adapter for your laptop:
HP USB Type-C–to–HDMI 2.0 Adapter 829941-001
However, a USB-C adapter from a reputable brand should work fine. Just make sure to check what the specifications of the adapter and what resolutions it supports.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info. I am really interested in whether or not HP has removed the 2560x1440 entry from the list of selectable resolutions. With a Thunderbird port, I shouldn't ave any problem with the actual connection.
