Just bought the dq1040wm from walmart. what's up? I have a few questions as well. lol

for starters, it's got a i5 10th gen processor. so far, it seems to be pretty snappy. i will be running tests to compare it with my 15-ec0751ms.

It has 8GB, and sites are really mixed on what it can take - either 8GB and nothing else, or 32GB upgradable. I popped the laptop open, and low and behold, it has 2 SODIMM slots. Does that mean it can run 64GB RAM? :X 😄

The Optane M.2 SSD is rubbish. Feels like other standard M.2 SSDs. Might upgrade to a 1TB M.2 someday.

There is an empty crevice where a 7mm 2.5 SSD could fit, but there's no SATA port, just a ribbon cable port that's not in use nearby...

The service manual is terrible as well, it doesn't state anything accurate - the battery is not removable - well, it can be, but not easy...

Lightweight, small (no numeric keypad) so she does like that.

More details later when I have time to play. :]

These are the same question I have. Apparently it can only support a total of 32gb as per manual I got.

But I'm also wondering why that crappy space is in there which seems to fit a regular ssd.
