I’ve looked in several places and far as I can see I have USB 3.0? I plugged a elgato HDS capture card in and says won’t work without USB 3.0? Am I missing something? I bought the laptop 3 week ago with the card on the look into streaming games. And they was both recommend by guy at PC world. I’m getting the feeling it’s not compatible.
im not very techy any help appreciated

Hello @Gazofwar
I have friends who stream using that card and it does work on USB 3 ports.
Your laptop does come with USB 3 ports. If it is not recognizing the ports, check to see if any other USB 3 products will work in the port.
You can also run the HP Diagnostics Tool are startup and check the ports.
Here is further info on how to access the tools... HP How to use Diagnostics
Most likley, you will want to contact Elgato and ask if there is an update needed for the capture card.

Thanks for the reply.
i only Installed the elgato software last night, would it need a update as soon as being installed?? Or would uninstalling and re installing help?
i will try the diagnostic later this evening.
