Hi’
I have been forced to reset my HP ENVY 15-k061no Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR)
Serial number [edited], because it was unable to start.
Now I have clean Windows 10 machine without any HP software installed.
Which HP programs should I download and install and how do I get these programs?

It was, in my opinion, a mistake not to have created a USB recovery media flash drive.
Your notebook was delivered with a plan "B" for disasters called the HP Recovery Manager and the means to create the USB recovery media flash drive called the HP Recovery Media Creator.
Most of the HP software that was delivered with your notebook can only be restored via the HP Recovery Manager.
You can purchase a USB "factory created" recovery flash drive from HP or an HP partner. Where you purchase the recovery media depends on where you reside in the world.

Looking for recovery media in the US and Canada? If you purchase the media from HP, it is inexpensive.

What exactly do you mean by reset?
There is a Microsoft Windows 10 reset and there are HP recoveries available from the HP Recovery Manager utility.
All of the HP software, including required drivers, is on the HP USB recovery media that you should have created by now.

Hi’
I took out the battery and drained the pc for power by pressing the power button for 30 seconds. When I turned on the pc it went into “diagnostic mode” and presented me with several options.
I tried to do a do a roll back to the latest restart point, but that was no success. Then I chose an option to reset Windows but keep my personal files. No USB was created, so I guess it was a Windows 10 reset.
I have reinstalled a few programs. No HP programs are installed, see list below.

The situation is the following: I reside in Denmark and the notebook was running 8.1 when I bought it and I have no wish to go back to 8.1.
Where can I buy this recovery flash drive in Denmark and what will it do for me?
I suppose I can go to hp.com and download drivers to any printer or other HP device I would want to use. I think I can also download the newest version of HP Support Assistant.
So what am I missing without this flash drive?
