Hi all,
I am wonderring if I can find the missing driver of Mass Storage Controller for the Compaq nw8440
PCI\VEN_104C&DEV_803B&SUBSYS_30A3103C&REV_00
PCI\VEN_104C&DEV_803B&SUBSYS_30A3103C
PCI\VEN_104C&DEV_803B&CC_018000
PCI\VEN_104C&DEV_803B&CC_0180
It is very slow under win 7 but is fast under win xp, could the missing driver be the cause?

Hi, @Atheer
That is definitely the driver you need for both of those devices.
So, the only suggestion I can offer would be to try manually installing the driver as follows.
Do this for both devices...
Take the Mass storage controller first...
Go to the device manager and click on the mass storage controller needing the driver.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp43509.
Make sure the include subfolders box is checked, and see if the driver installs that way.
Then do the same thing for the PCI Simple Comms Controller device.

@RE051ST
Thank you but actually I aready installed this one, after installing it, pci simple communications controller disappeared from the list of devices missing drivers, but mass storage controller still has the exclamation mark seen under device manager in windows
Initially I had two devices missing drivers listed under Device Manager, now only this one
