Hi @Newbie-10,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you are unable to find a driver for your HP 7260 printer through official channels because it's no longer supported, you can try a few alternative methods.

Windows Update (for Windows users):

  • Connect your printer to your computer.
  • Go to "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Windows Update."
  • Click on "Check for updates."
  • Windows might automatically search for and install the necessary driver for your printer.

Generic Printer Driver:

  • Some operating systems provide generic printer drivers that may work with a variety of printers. You can try installing a generic printer driver if one is available.
  • For Windows, you can choose a generic driver from the list of available drivers during the manual installation process.

Compatibility Mode:

  • If you have an old driver for the printer that used to work on a previous version of Windows, you can try installing it in compatibility mode. Right-click on the driver setup file, go to "Properties," and navigate to the "Compatibility" tab.

Remember to exercise caution when downloading drivers from unofficial sources to avoid potential security risks. Always prioritize official and reputable channels first.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
