Hi @Jevgeni09

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

To find and download the appropriate touchpad driver for your HP Pavilion - 14-ce2500sa running Windows 11, you can use the following steps:

Visit the HP Customer Support Page:

Identify Your Product:

  • Enter your laptop's model name ("HP Pavilion - 14-ce2500sa") in the search field.
  • Click "Submit" or choose the "Laptop" option if prompted to identify your product.

Select Operating System:

  • Ensure the correct operating system is selected. In your case, choose "Windows 11".

Navigate to Driver Downloads:

  • Look for "Driver-Keyboard, Mouse, and Input Devices" in the list of available software and driver categories.
  • Expand the section to view the available drivers.

Download and Install:

  • Click "Download" next to the appropriate driver for the touchpad.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.

If you encounter any difficulties or if your specific model does not have a driver for Windows 11 listed directly, you might need to check for compatibility updates or use a generic touchpad driver provided by Windows Update.

Thanks for your kind words and thoughtful message—it means a lot! I understand how frustrating it is when the touchpad driver for Windows 11 seems to be missing, and you’ve searched everywhere without success.

Let’s switch to Plan B and explore a few alternative ways to bring your touchpad back to life:

1. Check Touchpad Settings

  • Press Windows + I to open Settings.
  • Go to Bluetooth & devices > Touchpad.
  • Make sure the Touchpad toggle is ON.

🔄 2. Update or Roll Back the Driver via Device Manager

  1. Press Windows + X > Device Manager.
  2. Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
  3. Right-click your touchpad (Synaptics, ELAN, or HID-compliant).
  4. Choose Update driver > Search automatically.
    • If that doesn’t help, try Uninstall device, then restart—Windows may reinstall it automatically.

🧪 3. Install Windows Precision Touchpad Driver (Alternative)

  1. In Device Manager, right-click your touchpad > Update driver.
  2. Choose Browse my computer for drivers > Let me pick from a list.
  3. Select HID-compliant touchpad or Microsoft Precision Touchpad.
  4. Click Next and restart your laptop.

🔧 4. Try Windows 10 Driver from HP Site

If your model doesn’t list a Windows 11 driver:

  • Visit the HP Software & Driver Downloads page.
  • Enter your laptop model.
  • Select Windows 10 (64-bit) as the OS.
  • Download the Synaptics or ELAN Touchpad Driver.
  • Install it manually and restart.

Many Windows 10 drivers work perfectly fine on Windows 11.

You’re doing everything right—and I’m here to help make it happen! 💪🖱

Hawks Eye How you do know that all this steps will help out to me and what makes you do think that and where you did get this idea from?

@Jevgeni09,

Great question—and I love that you're digging into the “why” behind the advice. 🧠💬

The steps I shared are based on a combination of:

  • HP’s official troubleshooting guides for Windows 11 touchpad issues
  • User-tested fixes from HP’s support forums and tech communities
  • Common patterns observed across Windows 11 updates and driver behavior
  • And yes, even video tutorials from HP Support and independent tech creators that walk through these exact steps visually

These sources consistently show that touchpad problems—especially after updates or formatting—are usually tied to:

  • Disabled touchpad settings
  • Outdated or mismatched drivers
  • BIOS or firmware quirks
  • Power management conflicts

So when I suggest things like toggling the touchpad, updating drivers, or running diagnostics, it’s not just guesswork—it’s based on what’s worked for thousands of users in similar situations.

If you want to see one of the most concise walkthroughs, check out HP’s official video tutorial—it covers the five most effective steps in under four minutes.

Let me know what you’ve already tried or what’s still acting up—I’ll tailor the next steps just for you. 💪😊

Cheers!

Hawks Eye on the HP Employer do you do have any speacilist and pro and expert on the the downloading the update on the touchpad on the Hp Laptop at any point and stage rather than watching 5 tutorial videos. Maybe this another and different advocate who does working for the HP just same as you are like you are and this person might give to me better advice and the suggestion together with recomendation and the option and the way and you do ever know because anything can happen. Be to be prepared and organased. Expect unexpested because the life are full of surprises. Did you did ever know that but now you do know that. You do learn something new everyday.
