I had a HD crash (an of course it was not backed up)
I have installed a new HD and also installed Windows 7 32bit Home edition.
I am looking for the drivers and HP apps the came with the PC.
I believe the model is [edit]. Although it may be [edit] . It is hard to tell if after the "L" whether it is "Zero" or the letter "O".
Can you point to where I can download the drives and HP Software?

Hi:
The dv9912nr only had drivers for Windows Vista.
HP retires support for all consumer class products more than 10 years old, which is why you can't find any info for it anywhere.
The good news is that most of the drivers still exist on the HP ftp server and the Vista drivers should work for W7.
Here are most of the drivers you need...
Chipset:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp37501-38000/sp37730.exe
Graphics: You will have to manually install the driver as follows...
Run the driver. You will most likely get an unsupported operating system error. Close out of any error windows.
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp42501-43000/sp42635.exe
Go to the device manager. Click to expand the display adapters device manager category. Click on the Standard VGA Adapter listed there...It may also be listed elsewhere in the device manager labeled as a Video Controller. Click on whichever one you have.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update driver. Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp42635.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked, and the driver should install. Then restart the PC.
Audio:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp40001-40500/sp40170.exe
Touchpad:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp37001-37500/sp37065.exe
SD card reader: HP no longer has this file, but I saved it a long time ago, have zipped it up and attached it below.
Modem:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp37501-38000/sp37725.exe
Wifi:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp49501-50000/sp49541.exe
If there are any other drivers you need, please post the hardware ID's for them.

Hi:
I had no problem at all downloading sp42635, so the problem must be on your end.
See if this older version works...
